Dear ann & nancy & friends,
just wanted you to know that we have received several care packages from you and the folks at windsor lately and thank you for them. your contributions, support, times, and effort are all very generous and very much appreciated. the people who benefit from your care packages include military medical staff (like me), troops who go out in the field, civilian contract workers on base, and patients (coalition forces, afghan local nationals, and afghan military and security forces).
i will be leaving here in probably three months, but two things i can think of off the top of my head that are needed here are (1) adult sweat pants or loose, pajama-type pants and (2) clear page protectors.
i would also like to thank the individuals responsible for making and sending the pictures, letters, and cards. we received a bunch of cards from grade school children a while back and have since received some paintings, bookmarks, pictures, and poems. those always put a smile on my face.
