Ann, I just received your package and on behalf of me and my men, thanks. Frankly, it couldn't have arrived at a better time. We're on a pretty remote Forward Operating Base here in Afghanistan, far from any city, and we don't get mail out here often. This isn't because folks don't send us things; rather, mail flights just don't come out our way often. I can tell you that one of my guys was feeling pretty blue, not having received any of his mail in quite some time. However, when I opened your package and put it in the middle of the aid station, his demeanor changed immediately. Again, thanks; and please convey our gratitude to everyone who keeps us in their thoughts and prayers. Mike Zapor P.S. Whoever Jason is, his "Gooooo troopers" sign cracked us all up.
