The Board of Directors of WIN TV has chosen as their Community Service project "SEND Hometown Windsor to the Troops".
The purpose of our project is to send bits of Windsor and material goods to Windsor residents serving in War Zones.
We have sent letters to churches asking the general public to contact us with the names of anyone from Windsor serving in a War Zone.
We are asking you to think of them as you take videos of familiar places or events in Windsor. We want to send them things to remind them of home. We would like to send the Windsor Journal, the Reminder, Town News, concert info, etc., anything you would like to receive if you were away for a long period of time.
We have SEND boxes and item lists at Bart's, The Beanery Bistro, Windsor Federal Savings, Dom's Broad Street Eatery. If your church or place of business would like to a date drop off please contact Ann at 688-5821 or Jane at 688-5165.

This is a support effort and is in NO way to be political. Please do not drop off letters/videos of a political nature or your experiences with previous wars, battles, etc. We are looking for the Windsor Connection to be brought to our servicemen and women in the present day.
Our goal is to send boxes at least once a month for at least one year, and our first sending will be July 4th week.
